The Blue Lagoon

***closed 21st September - 7th November 2026 due to grey seals and pups in the area***. Until 1910 this was a slate quarry, it was then abandonded and flooded and when a channel was blasted to connect it to the sea, the Blue Lagoon was created. Today it's popular with watersports enthusiasts who come here to kayak and coasteer. It has even been the location for the world series diving championships. If you do decide to take a dip take care, it is very deep and very cold.

Perranuthnoe

The path runs along the coast on the eastern side of Mount's Bay. Pass the jagged rocks of Cudden Point to Prussia Cove, famous for its rock pools and caves as well as the smuggler John Carter, whose obsession with Frederick the Great, the King of Prussia, led to the naming of the area. Heading west will take you to Marazion.
