Devon's answer to Fistral Beach in Cornwall, Croyde Bay is one of the best known surf spots in the country. It draws a young and sporty crowd, and when the surf's up, there's a real buzz on this beach.

nice, real nice

Very attractive beach with good sand backed by protected dunes (and lifeguards during season), lots of surfers and families. Full dog ban.

Beautiful Croyde beach

Stunning sandy stretch of beach. We went in August and felt very safe body boarding with the kids as the lifeguards are so dilligent.
