Combine an afternoon on the sands at Porthluney with a visit to Caerhayes Castle, which overlooks this pretty beach.

Best Beach

At low tide it's a wide sandy beach with lots of room, rockpools and excellent sandcastle sand. The nearby cafe serves tasty food (we got to enjoy a hog roast) and quickly. Proper food too, with some veggie options. Big car park.

The beach toilets were horrible.

Wonderful sandy beach, safe for children with lots of rock pools when the tide drops back and a lovely little beach cafe.
