Magical gardens, restored by Tim Smit, who later went on to create the Eden Project. There's also a well-stocked farm shop here where you can stock up on local produce.

Veryan only has one pub and this is it. A delightfully unspoiled 16th century Cornish inn located in the centre of this picturesque Round House village.

Veryan is most famous for its nineteenth century thatched Round Houses of which there are five, two pairs of which stand at each end of the village and another in the centre. It has a pub, a grocery shop, an off-licence and a Post Office.

The Falmouth arms is a delightful 17th century coaching inn, with cosy interiors and a warming real fire to keep you cosy in winter. There is a separate restaurant serving fabulous food and it is adviseable to book ahead.

Re-opened in 2025, The Dolphin Inn has new tenant landlords, much to the delight of the local community. Located in the heart of the village, visitors and locals are welcome.

Just a mile away from Mevagissey, Portmellon is bursting with maritime connections with a deep-seated history in wooden boat building, and offers visitors a lovely insight into Cornish traditions and life.

A lovely walk of just under five and a half miles which follows the costal path with stunning cliff top views and inland footpaths through nature reserves and woodlands. Two pubs en-route ensure you have the opportunity for a refreshment break.
