Discover the facinating and informative world of flying butterflies at the Butterfly Farm, a tropical environment with waterfalls and fish filled pools.
Running daily from 10am until 5pm, Aberystwyth Cliff Railway runs at the northern end of the promenade, affording fabulous views of the town, Cardigan Bay and surrounding mountains. Operating since 1896, this is a thoroughly enjoyable way to travel up Constitution Hill.
Step back in time with a visit to Castell Hellys where experts and archaeologists have rebuilt structures exactly where they would have been 2000 years ago. Enjoy exploring the village, woodland, riverside paths and barefoot trail. Dogs are welcome on leads (but not in the shop and cafe). Seasonal opening, it's recommended you ring to check opening times.
Head to The Crabbing Centre for a fun-filled day of crabbing. All equipment can be purchased at Outer Reef at the Marine Centre of Excellence and The Crabbing Centre is located in the middle of the National Events Deck.
There's lots of fun to be had here, with over 750 animals at the zoo, a farmyard, vintage fairground and adventure areas. Join the animal experiences to feed a giraffe or perhaps a penguin? check out their website for lots of fun things to see and do.
Surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, Lake Vyrnwy is a beautiful reservoir with over 24,000 acres of RSPB reserve trails and footpaths to discover. There is also a scupture park, adventure activities, cycle hire and craft shops alongside a good selection of eateries for when you need a refreshment break.
Fun for all the family with pig racing, reptiles to meet and feed the farm animals. There's an indoor play barn, pedal go-carts and a programme of activities. Check their website before you travel as opening times vary.
