Featuring in Stephen Frears' film, Tamara Drewe, The White Hart Inn is a 17th Century thatched village pub. The pub serves real ale and ciders in the open bar and hearty pub food in the separate dining area. During the summer months, bevvies can be enjoyed in the beer garden and children can make the most of the play area. Parking is available.

A pretty village on the river Wiggle, worth a visit to see the honey coloured limestone cottages. At the heart of the village you'll find the Oak House Stores, a grade II listed building famed for its cheese and local produce.

Founded by St Aldhelm in 705 AD, this Abbey was the place that Sir Walter Raleigh chose to worship. Some say it is the finest building in Dorset, so a visit to this glorious church is a must if you're in the area.
Usually at the beginning of May, this collection of concerts is well over ten years in the running, set in beautiful ecclesiastical venues.
In the spectacular grounds of Sherborne Castle, this annual fair is a firm favourite with both visitors and locals alike. With a big top, dog show, local food hall, animals, show ring and many stalls, there's plenty to keep the whole family happy here!
