Check out the oceans' strangest creatures and marvel at the beauty of the coral reef. With 50 live exhibits, three massive tanks, over 4000 animals, and six zones to explore- Explorocean, The Shallows, Atlantic Reef, Mediterranean Sea, Weird Creatures and Coral Seas - there's plenty to keep the family entertained. Budding scientists and ocean explorers will love Explorocean, two floors of interactive exhibits exploring how technology is being used to help us understand and care for our oceans.

The Barbican

Explore Plymouth's historic Barbican. Rich in maritime history, this is where the Mayflower set sail for the New World. Today it's bustling with pubs, bars and restaurants, boat trips and the National Marine Aquarium.

Tinside Lido

First opened in 1935, this Art Deco lido has been restored to its former glory and is open from June to September (weather permitting). Seawater fills the huge semi-circular pool along side three tidal pools built into the rocks and high diving boards.

Wembury Marine Centre

Open from April to October and run entirely by by volunteers, you can learn all there is to know about the surrounding area and wildlife here. There's displays, tanks and regular rockpool safaris to enjoy.
