Lansallos Cove

This lovely 'secret' cove is reached by a track that winds down through the woods from the church in the village above. It can also be incorporated as part of a walk on the South West Coast path from Pencarrow Head or Polperro. A small waterfall tumbles down to the left of the cove on the site of an old watermill.

Looe Beach

This large sandy beach is ideal for families, with shallow waters safe for paddling. In the height of summer it can get busy here; head for the quieter, rockier eastern end of the beach. Banjo Pier at the western end is a popular hangout for rod and line fishing and is also a lovely spot to sit and watch the trawlers as they come and go from the harbour.

Polperro beach is a small beach found just outside the harbour walls of one of the prettiest fishing villages in the country. Sitting in front of Willy Wilcox cave, once used by smugglers, Polperro beach should be visited at low tide.

Lantivet Bay is made up of a collection of small coves situated between Polruan and Polperro on the South West Coast Path. These 'secret' coves are difficult to access and are often hidden at high tide. Strong currents can make swimming hazardous, but they make for beautiful, secluded picnic spots for the intrepid walker.

Beak's Horn Beach

Take the cliff path past Britain Cove and then a winding steep path to Eglarooze Beach. From there you will need to scramble over the rocks to reach the two coves of Beak's Horn Beach but take great care not to get cut off by the tide. The beach is rocky with some sand at low tide.

Bodigga Beach

Use the car park at Millendreath and walk in an easterly direction, the beach is below the cliffs. Watch out for the tide as a rock scramble may be necessary. There are areas of sand with some shingle. Good for swimming and snorkelling but no facilities.
