Since re-opening in late 2019, the local village pub is once again a favourite place to visit for both locals and visitors. This traditional thatched roof pub is community owned so call in for great locals beers and locally sourced food.

A lovely thatched inn set within the village of Dalwood and offering friendly service, a good varied menu and real ales. During the summer you can sit amongst the hanging baskets in the garden and during the winter months a log fire warms the bar. A double skittle alley adds to the fun!

You will find something for everyone here with pretty gardens to sit in and enjoy a cream tea to pick your own fruit to keep the kids occupied. The farm shop serves local produce including home made pies and of course pasties!

17 wooden barrels are coated in tar, set alight and carted shoulder-high through the streets of the town. Yes, on fire. It's been a tradition since 1605-ish and probably started to brace the town for the imminent invasion of the Spanish Armada.
