Black Head

A quiet secluded small cove sheltered between Black Head and Drennick headland. Follow the coastal path past a memorial stone to A L Rowse (a Cornish Historian) and take the narrow path to the beach with care. A sand, shingle and stone beach only exposed at low tide with good snorkelling and some rock pools.

Carnjewey Beach

A small, mostly shingle beach to the south of Porthpean which is cut off at high water. Good facilities are available at Porthpean during the summer months and dogs are not allowed from Easter to the end of September.

A lovely little cove, nestled between Portmellon and Gorran Haven. It's best to park in Portmellon and take the coastal path for just under a mile. At high tide the snorkelling is good and low tide exposes some splendid rock pools. Dogs are allowed year round.

Great and Little Perlea

These adjoining coves are very sheltered and great for snorkelling. Access from Catchpole beach is down a steep path but it is possible to walk along the foreshore from Portholland. Car parking is available above the beach at West Portholland and dogs are allowed year round.

This mainly stony beach is reached by an easy walk. There is a cascading waterfall onto this unspoilt beach.

This cove is only accessible a low tide, it has rocky outcrops separating it from Hemmick Beach, so there are lots of rock pools to be explored!
