Why not take a walk up this iconic, legendary Tor? Well worth the effort, you will have spectacular views across 3 counties. Dogs must be on a lead and there are no public conveniences.
A great day out for all the family with romantic ruins to explore, thirty six acres of parkland, an outdoor cafe, excellent gift shop and modern visitor centre. Costumed guides tell historic tales and you can even visit the legendary burial place of King Arthur. Check their Web site for opening times and further details.
Built in the 14th century, this fish house is believed to be the only one surviving in England. It was originally built to serve the needs of the monastic fishery.
This barn was restored to its former glory over an 11 year period - great care was taken to restore its original features. With oak beams and lime concrete floors this building is now used for many events.
For over two thousand years people have come here to drink the waters and find solace, peace and inspiration. This is one of Britain's most ancient wells and it is surrounded by beautiful gardens and orchards. Whilst we can't guarantee this is the font of eternal youth, we can recommend a visit. The cathedral warmly welcomes visitors - with free guided tours offered by its volunteers if you wish. The building is host to many events and concerts thorughout the year.
