Truly beautiful when the tide is out. Just 5 minutes from Tintagel and good for bass fishing too.

Pretty cove near Tintagel that links up with Benoath Cove at low tide. Usually fairly quiet.

Aptly named because of the mine located directly above it, this beach is mainly sand and rocks. It forms part of the Tregardock beach area with Trerubies Cove at the southerly end. With limited parking this beach is rarely crowded and offers a wide sandy area at low tide. Whilst not recommended for swimming, there are some great rock pools and dogs are allowed year round. Do watch out for the tide!

You can access this beach either from Bossiney Haven at low tide or along the coastal path. There is a car park on the outskirts of Bossiney (opposite Bossiney Lodge) and a path leads from here over fields to the coastal path. Take a right then sharp left and take care as the path is narrow and steep leading to the beach below. The beach is sandy with some good rock pools and caves to explore. At high tide the beach all but disappears and swimming is not recommended on an ebbing or low tide. Dogs are welcome year round.

The visually arresting Tregardock beach is found between Tintagel and Port Isaac. Often quiet due to its fairly challenging access route, this beach is an adventure playground. With soaring cliffs and an expanse of sand unfolding at low tide, there is an abundance of rocky crevices, caves and even a waterfall to seize your attention - just keep an eye on the tide.
You'll need to be pretty determined (and fit) to reach this rocky cove as access is from the coastal path up and down several hundred steps. An alternative route leads through fields from Black Hill opposite the turning down to Mill House Inn. There are no facilities and swimming is not advisable unless the sea is calm.
Good rock pools but not so good for swimming due to strong currents. Access is down a very narrow and steep path although it may be possible to get there along the sand from Trebarwith Strand at times of very low tide.
Only really safely accessibile at low tide from Hole Beach, it can be either beautifully sandy or a rocky cove - depending on how the tide and weather have affected it.
It is difficult to describe this beach as it changes frequently depending on the build up of sand. There can be a fantastic mass of golden sand, alternatively there can be a small amount of sand with exposed rocks at low water.
This beach, as many others in the area, cannot be accessed at high tide, but once the tide receeds you're in for a real treat of glorious golden sand. There are many caves in the area to be explored and shallow sandy rock pools to splash about in!
