Cadsonbury Wood

The National Trust owned Cadsonbury Wood lines the banks of the meandering River Lynher and gives a choice of 3 colour coded circular walks. Some have wheelchair and pushchair access and there is also a more adenturous route with a strenuous climb to the Iron Age Fort of Cadstonbury from which there are excellent views of the surrounding countryside.

A gentle stroll of just under three miles which takes you From the Portsmouth Inn through the village and surrounding area, There are some lovely views over Dartmoor and beyond.

Rilla Mill to Stara Bridge Walk

Just outside the village of Rilla Mill you will find a footpath by the river to Stara Bridge. Take the crossing over the Medieval stone bridge into ancient woodland and follow the river looping back through the trees. Take a left turn up the hill to the next footpath and take the next right back to Rilla Mill.
