Sand dunes to play in and level access from the car park make this a good choice for families with young children. You will find a cafe and shop here plus toilets and lifeguards in summer. Its a very popular spot for surfers and can get busy during August.

Probably the most photographed beach in the area - the rugged, rocky coastline, caves and gleaming white sand make it one of Cornwall's prettiest, take note though, the beach is totally covered at high tide. National Trust car parking is available with access to the beach via a steep gravelled path. Cafe and toilets are available during the summer months.

This is a mainly stone cove, just South of the village centre. It can be reached just off the coastal path and dogs are permitted on this beach all year. The water here is crystal clear.

Chocolate-box pretty, Coverack has everything you want in a Cornish village - a picture-postcard harbour, a crescent of sandy beach and a friendly pub. Car parking is limited and it's best to use the pay and display on the outskirts of the village and walk in. You'll find several cafes serving food all day during high season.

You will find both a traditional pub and Oceanview restaurant here serving a wide range of food. With outside seating and views of the sea it's a popular place to sit and watch the world go by. Parking is limited and it does get busy in summer. A good stopping off point for coastal path walkers.

This attractive little sandy cove is reached by a steep path and is a 15 minute walk from the car park at Lizard Point. Be careful, it can be cut off at high tide.
