It is a National Trust-owned hut, but run by a local couple who provide 'Feast Nights' - now made famous by their appearance on ITV's 'Cornwall with Caroline Quentin'. You need to buy tickets, but the hut is generally open to everyone, except during the winter, so check times on their Web site.

Bike Chain Bissoe Bike Hire and Cafe

Based in the south, but the route goes right through the mining heartland of Cornwall and hits the north coast at Portreath. Bikes available to hire for all ages and abilities. Tag along and buggies also available. There and back the route is about18 miles, fairly easy cycling with a bit of a pull out of Porthreath on the way back. Make a day of it, take a picnic to eat on the beach and enjoy a cuppa on your return. There's ample car parking but you do need to pay.
