Great supper spot with a broad menu. Smiley service.

Locals were in and on top form. Very entertaining.

Very disappointing, as we booked Sunday lunch the day we arrived (Wednesday) only to find that they were fully booked when we got there; no apology at all and the landlady quite aggressively suggested that we were at fault! She had booked us in for the following Sunday, when we weren’t even in Dorset and had made no mention of the fact that they were fully booked previously! As it was our last day we had no food left in the cottage and were left high and dry!
We won’t be returning to this pub on subsequent visits! A pity, as it seems to have a good reputation! An apology on her part would have been totally acceptable, as everyone makes mistakes!
