Fascinating site definitely worth a visit. Do take wellies or boots if there has been rain as the access is down a footpath through a field so can get muddy. Also the fogou floods in wet weather so wellies a must if little ones want to explore and splash about. On a nice day it is perfect for a picnic.

Wonderful
We are so glad that we paid a visit to Carn Euny. It's a little walk to the site from the car park but so worth it when you get there. It is such an atmospheric place. It's so quiet and has such a wonderful sense of peace there. It was wet the day we went, but if it was sunny would have been a lovely spot for a picnic. The Fogous was fascinating; I was scared about the creepy crawlies, but I never saw any ... phew!
It’s definitely worth a visit if you want to get to the heart of ancient Cornwall.

Fascinating... but scary!
What an amazing experience, so eerie and fascinating, you must give it a try and explore!
One thing I will say in Fogous is beware of the spiders – don’t look up!!! They are VERY common in Fogous… and lots of them! I was frozen stiff with fear when down a tunnel and someone shone a torch on the ceiling… it was swarming with big spiders and their nest sacks… my biggest dilemma was how do I get out of here… very quickly is the answer!

Unspoilt
One of the things I love about Cornwall is that you can still stumble across something as interesting as this ancient settlement just walking through the fields. Anywhere else in the counrty, you would have to queue up and pay an entrance fee to see something similar. But in Cornwall it is just lying there, waiting to be discovered in its unspoilt beauty.
