Centrally situated in Northumberland, Alnwick is a charming town with plenty to keep the whole family occupied including a visit to Alnwick Castle where scenes from Downton Abbey and Harry Potter were filmed. Alnwick Gardens are worth a mention and the coast is a short distance away for some seaside adventures.
